TOM ADAMS, PT, MPA, brings extensive experience in sports medicine and rehabilitation, including work with the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club and the Fresno Grizzlies Baseball Team (the feeder AAA team to the San Francisco Giants). He also served as Team Physical Therapist for the Fresno Falcons Hockey Team and established the first Sports Medicine Center in California's Central San Joaquin Valley. His broad experience with post-operative rehabilitation includes a decade as Director of Rehabilitative Services for a major Central Valley hospital. Tom went into private practice in 1987, selling his four clinics to a national corporation in the nineties. He moved to San Diego in 2001 for the sake of his wife Patti's health. Because of her Fibromyalgia, Tom is perhaps even more sensitive to people in chronic pain.

Adams Physical Therapy is the culmination of decades of experience and Tom's desire to create a practice that is a departure from "big medicine." Independently owned and operated, Adams Physical Therapy is a small, comfortable and warm "boutique-style" practice that allows for more one-on-one time between patient and therapist. Located in downtown San Diego's vibrant Little Italy -- just a pizza toss from the trolley stop -- patients step across the garden patio into a funky work/live loft equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. There Tom continues to employ leading-edge treatment techniques mastered through his commitment to regularly attending continuing education courses.
Because of Tom's commitment to the very latest in equipment, training, and patient education, here patients can get back in the game -- or job or hobby -- and stay there. We devote our attention exclusively to each patient, never intentionally double- or triple-booking, so we can educate and motivate them to continue to enjoy the benefits of their time with us.
